Encounter[edit]

  • Purple Dragon Knight: Finally! Someone who is willing to hear me out, and not attack on sight. Even my compatriots have forsaken me!
  • Purple Dragon Knight: You... um... might have notice my wretched appearance. I look like I've gone through the Nine Hells and back, and yet I live!
  • Purple Dragon Knight: I have heard that there is a Sanctified Well in an abandoned village somewhere in the forest. I believe that its Sanctified Water, could be just the thing to counteract this curse before it continues to get worse!
    • You: I will find that Sanctified Water for you. Stay safe!
      • Purple Dragon Knight: Good on you, kind traveler. I will await your return here, out of sight.
    • You: What happened to you?
      • Purple Dragon Knight: I don't know what happened, but I believe I was cursed by one of those Drow Necromancers in a skirmish not too long ago, and something went horribly wrong - or right, depending on your perspective. It was all such a blur. I may have indeed fallen... perished... sometime during the fight.
      • Purple Dragon Knight: Magic, being unpredictable as it is, has somehow kept me alive instead of turning me into one of the Necromancer's walking dead.
      • Purple Dragon Knight: Unfortunately, some of his unholy magic must have taken hold, because here I am looking like a bleeding corpse! I swear to you, I am alive, but afflicted!
    • You: What's this about a Sanctified Well?
      • Purple Dragon Knight: Well, you see, there was a village within the King's Forest to the southwest of Eveningstar. I stress: was. It was among the first to fall when the drow attacked. we did what we could to evacuate it, but some succumbed to the Drow Necromancers and their ever-growing army of undead.
      • Purple Dragon Knight: Before the evacuation, one of Amaunator's faithful blessed the water in the village well, in an effort to stave off the undead. It worked for a while, but then the water started to run out.
      • Purple Dragon Knight: I believe in its holy power, and there may still be some left. I would be grateful if you could bring some to me.
    • You: I'm sorry, it's not about you, it's uh... I'll be back!

(After you get hold on the water)

  • Purple Dragon Knight: You've come back! Have you found the Sanctified Well? Did you bring me any of its Sanctified Water?
  • Purple Dragon Knight: My condition appear to be deteriorating, if you'll pardon the expression.
  • You: I think I have some of your water. Here you go.
  • Purple Dragon Knight: It worked! Now I can go back to my comrades and family without scaring the breeches off them. Thank you.
