Resetting Rares[edit]

Do the rares reset, or the chance for the rare to spawn, when the regular mobs reset, in a wilderness setting, or underground wilderness like waterworks?

As a rare in this setting is in place of a regular 'mob', the chance for the rare should happen whenever the entire area is reset, and all mobs respawn.

I have heard of a few ways of doing this.

1. Join a party who's leader hasn't been in the area in 5 minutes. You can then leave that party if you like and go back in the area.

2. Disband the party and reform it, regardless of leader.

3. Wait 5 minutes.

4. Do a quest that is not in the area (one that takes less than 5 minutes)

That's correct. When a instance is reset - be it a dungeon, wilderness area.. Everything inside is reset to default. Rares are rolled when you step into the new instance..Each one generally has a 50-75% chance to spawn, tho some rares are actaully set to 100%. If you find a rare is 100%, might wanna edit the appropriate wilderness page and note that. The few I know are mostly in the reavers refuge:
Planar Gateway in Aussircaex valley - always spawns.
Vampire in Eeries forest always (tho you gota trigger him)
Soaming gardens doesnt have an always spawns rare. But it always has a chest: Either one will be available randomly for nothing or kill the 4 altars, then the lion will spawn, and give you a chest. Most often its the lion.
Mount Reysalon has no guarenteed rare.. Tho generally a very good chance to get at least 1 of the 3 per run.
All of your reset info is correct. Tho theres one more: Summon a hireling in a different instance, then step out to get him to leave (or if your steppign someone he wont, dismiss him afteR).. The instance u were in wont reset, but all your other ones around will. --Shade 12:39, September 11, 2011 (EDT)
