Question: Does Devotion increase the healing power of pots and wands? Would it help to have a Devotion offhand weapon when i use a Wand of Cure x Wounds? --yoderc 11/5/2012

Not sure about whether Devotion works on wands, it does not seem to work with pots... I've heard that an Ardor clicky/pot does though... Also, I know that Healing Amplification help with Silver Flame pots, but haven't tested regular pots.

Nope, spell power does not affect pots or wands. There used to be a bug with U14 (?) that allowed this to happen, however, it was fixed. --Cru121 (ContributionsMessage) 00:16, November 6, 2012 (EST)
Darn. Looks like my best bet is the clicky. Thanks for the help.

I get 445HP back from a Silverflame Healing Potion with Healing Amplification.

It seems the "spellpower affecting wands" issue was not fully fixed. Historical development of the problem:
  • Before Update 14, we did not have Spell Power. At that time, potency/devotion/whatever did not apply to wands/scrolls
  • With Update 14, we've got Spell Power and spell power had full effect on wands/scrolls
  • Since Update 15 or so (probably around August), Turbine made an attempt to fix the problem. However, the problem is not fully fixed and they have introduced another bug.
using a wand/scroll on yourself is NOT affected by spell power (WAI)
using a wand/scroll on other person IS/CAN BE still affected by spell power
new bug: after drinking a potion (and other actions), characters lose the benefit of spell power, even from SPELLS or radiant aura. (swinging with weapon fixes the problem)
