Quivering Palm
Quivering Palm
- Cost: 30 ki
- Cooldown: 6 seconds
- Usage: Active
- Prerequisite: Monk, class level 15
Description
Melee Attack: Deliver a fatal attack by sending waves of vibrations through your target. A successful Fortitude save negates this effect. (DC = 10 + Monk Level + highest of Dex or Wisdom Modifier + Assassinate Bonus)
When an enemy saves vs. Quivering Palm, you gain a stacking +4 Preseverance bonus to your DC until you kill an anemy with Quiverng Palm (or 3 minutes pass).
- Target: Foe, Directional, Breakable
- Duration: 3 minutes
- Save: Fortitude - 10 + Monk Level + highest of Dex or Wisdom Modifier + Assassinate Bonus
Notes
- Quivering Palm may be used with any Monk weapon.
- Quivering Palm benefits from effects that specifically buff "Tactical DCs", such as from a Battle Trance, but not from Combat Mastery items. Confirmed effects:
- +X (Int/2) bonus from Harper's Know The Angles
- +X (Cha/3) bonus from PDK's Cormyrean Knight Training
- +3 Warforged / Bladeforged or Dwarf Tactics
- +3 Kensei's Tactics
- +3 Dreadnought's Epic Tactics
- +2 Feat: Tactical Training
- +4 Feat: Scion of the Astral Plane
- +3 Past Life: Fighter
- Confirmed not working Bonuses
- Any Item-based bonuses to Tactics, including Combat Mastery
- Guild Ship Bonus
This ability emulates other death spells, so deathblock or death ward both grant immunity. Unlike the Assassin's Assassinate ability, using Quivering Palm will drop you out of Sneak and remove any Invisibility effects.
