Item talk:Mythic Arcane Armor
It appears as though the extra -5% Arcane Spell Failure from Greater Arcane Casting Dexterity does nothing to change the 10% failure rate between this and the Epic Arcane Armor which has only Arcane Casting Dexterity. --Niminae
- It appears that way, but in reality, there's a difference. Arcane Casting Dexterity (or similar blue augment) looks at your total ASF rate (armor and shield combined) and reduces that value. You can see your combined ASF rate if you hover over a spell with somatic component. The armor enchantment Twilight on the other hand applies only to the armor on which it is. In case of twilight armor, the ASF number listed on the item is actually reduced; in case of arcane casting dexterity items, the ASF number listed on armor is not reduced. It's kinda confusing I guess. Here's a good post about asf: DDO Forums, also DDO Forums. --Cru121 (Contributions • Message) 06:44, August 12, 2015 (EDT)
